I want actors who are enthusiastic about these two topics, credentials less important.  Actually vampire enthusiasm also unimportant.  Send me a purple mooseage if you or someone you know fits the bill.

Roles:

Kevin--city vampire, 21 (real age 54), white, thin, midwest accent
George--city vampire, 38 (real age 104), white, portly, balding, midwest accent
Felicia--city vampire, 46 (real age 50), white, Valley accent
Sam--26, permaculturist, commune resident, female, thin, white, midwest accent
Octavia--24, nurse, commune resident, plump, Brown, Philadelphia accent
John--28, white, commune landlord, academic, midwest accent
Stephan--22, white, commune resident, sensitive new-age guy hippie, midwest accent
Lena--19, Chinese, commune resident, midwest accent
Farmer--58, white, portly, rural New York State accent

if you're interested in reading for a part, get in touch--or if you're just interested in helping infect brains with permaculture and vampirism.

Is it a paid gig?  Might make an important difference for actors who're stuck at home under quarantine, wishing they had work.

Excellent question.  It is quite possible we could fundraise/crowdsource money for this.  It's entertaining more than educational.

Once the pandemic's effects in preventing shooting of video hit people's netflix accounts, audio will take off.

I make no promises, I'm just making art.

How would people get in touch with you (other than this forum)?  I'm thinking of a few friends with great voices who might find doing a project like this a hoot.

Thanks Lif.  I'll give out my work email--Joshua@StandingMarmotAlexanderTechnique.com.

My first preference is to find permies for the job, but anyone who can stomach the script is welcome to get in contact.

There's a recording of me doing all the parts of Episode 1 on soundcloud if people want to take a listen.

If you don't get permies, repost and I'll give your addy to some non-permie friends.

I also have a (non-permie) acquaintance in mind, although I'm not sure if they can do a passable accent...

I'm always excited to learn about new radio-type shows!

Thanks team, I really appreciate the offers.

I want to do this with non-actors.  I'd rather do that than work with actors--unless they're permaculturist actors--and the real heart of this is the "talent show" within the Permaculture Design Course.

My PDC I took didn't have a talent show, which was really disappointing to me, and felt like a loss, but I love the idea of that more than any other part of the curriculum.  It is the part where making the solutions in your own garden is enacted.  In a two-week PDC you aren't really going to see much of a result of seeds planted or even a swale dug, unless you get lucky.  But changing thinking, this can happen.

So, I'll ask this in a new way.  Seeking non-actor permies to read for a radio show, Just Another Show About Vampires and Permaculture.  No experience needed, just ability to read.

I'm no actor, but I can't wait to see what you come up with.  With a cast of characters that interesting, it's got to be good.

Be sure to let us all know when you start releasing episodes!!!

You willing to read a part?  I am looking for non-actors now, I want to do this talent show style.
