Cob/Adobe around cement form?

Is it possible to “wrap” or build on top of a cement form (like a dome) with cob in order to raise it’s insulative properties?

im no expert but saw some naturally well insulted dome buildings that are burned forever in my memory at the Venus project in Venus Florida

It is definitely possible, but it won't add much insulation value. Cob has an R-value of about .5 to 1 per inch. So even with high straw cob you would need a good amount to make any sort of difference. How big of a dome are we talking? building sized or oven sized?
