I used to really look down my nose at exclamation points, but I feel so emphatic these days.

What if I start feeling so emphatic that I feel the need to use multiple exclamation points?!

Is it considered name calling to point out that you all are "punctuation nerds" (note my use of the "air quotes") heheh....

....and superfluous "ellipses" (and extraneous brackets).

Proper (or improper) punctuation can completely change the context of what is written. Example:

A woman without her man is nothing.
A woman; without her, man is nothing.

Sometimes I get so excited when discussing things that I have to stand up and use exaggerated gestures. When my helper, Freddy does this, he spits a little. It could be called !infinity. My computer doesn't make the infinity symbol.

I was a chef in a previous life . I was working with some folks planning a menu for an upcoming trendy resaurant . One of the team members was a veteran restauranteur and a formidable magazine food critic . When the team brought up the prospect of serving the cliche "Three Cheese Pizza" my food maven friend nudged my elbow and loudly whispered towards my ear " You know , if it's good cheese you only need one" . So , maybe that rule applies here . If it's a good one , maybe you only need one .
