Major bug stopping people browsing

I've had two messages from facebook friends saying they can't get use permies today.

something weird is going on when I go to the forums. When I go to forums the permies address comes up 'permies/forums' etc. but then when I hit enter it changes to a 'youtube embed address with three /// after an https. You think it is my computer or the forum?

This is on windows explorer.

Not sure what browser that is.

I'm using Chrome and there's no problem.

Any ideas?

My Firefox is working just fine.

Are any windows explorer users able to read this?

I just fixed it.

I embedded the TED talk at the top of all pages and somehow it confused IE.

I took the video out.

I have been on twice and will come back this afternoon, evening EST.

It's working fine for me on Firefox.

The youtube video that the users are talking about in their reports is the one that Paul setup as an announcement in the forums. That video shows up on top of the forum pages and is about Paul's TEDx talk. However, it hasn't interfered with browsing or posting in the forums. Can you check with them if they are clicking or hitting enter on that video which is causing the problem they mention?

I sent them a couple of links, to recent topics and tinkering, and this was the response.

when I click on that I get the same thing - here is the address that pops into my address bar: http:////www.youtube.com/embed/T_7I-hgtQo4 ......but I don't get to see the video that just popped up in this box.

They're not on line now so I can't confirm it it's working since Paul said he thought he'd fixed it.
