I'm really hoping assassins bugs. And are the eggs more of the same? They are on my tromboncino squash.

Looks like ants farming aphids to me.  Am I missing somwthing?

The tiny yellow eggs on that leaf could be aphid eggs, ladybug eggs, or squash bug eggs.

The picture (at least on my phone) looks like *possibly* the milkweed or golden-eyed assassin? But, I'm struggling to see the details... Here's the site that I was trying to compare:

they’re young true bugs (Hemiptera) of some sort. squash? boxelder? hard to tell from these pics. i’d put money on the eggs being either true bug or beetle. in context, probably bug.

i doubt they’re predatory, unfortunately.

I agree with Greg they are pest nymphs and the eggs are likely Colorado potato beetles. They will eat squash leaves.

around here i always get my hopes up with these but have only seen the 'good' assassin bugs on my passionfruit, everywhere else they're not
