Work glove source

Wondering if anyone can recommend a good source for sturdy work gloves made of natural materials. I'm looking for a Christmas gift for my husband.
He does the evening animal chores and right now what he does is wear a wool liner glove underneath these cheap leather gloves (home depot). They're fine, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a source for leather or suede, no waterproofing or other chemical treatments. Doesn't have to be fancy necessarily, just durable and decent materials. Domestic or European would be a plus. Handmade would be especially nice.

Vermont gloves, if you don’t care about price. They last so they are an investment, but the sticker shock is real.

I get mine from Harbor Freight. They are cheap, but have lasted a couple of seasons so I consider it a good investment.

I consider any work glove that lasts longer than a season to be a long term investment.

For many, many years dear hubby only wore/bought Wells Lamont leather work gloves.

Quality and durability went down so now it is what happens to come along with a good price.

Got some goat leather work gloves at Ace Hardware a few months ago. They are comfy and very durable. I think it was some off brand that they don't often sell at Ace, just one of the local stores. The gloves just say "G.O.A.T." on them and have a picture of a goat. Wish I could give you the exact brand but it's a gift idea nonetheless.

I have to vote with Eric. This past spring I bought two pairs of thin leather work gloves from Harbor Freight and so far they are holding up just great. The second pair are on stand-by in the shop, the first pair are looking a bit rough but for the low price and toughness, I'll buy more!!

I was going to recommend a pair of goat leather work gloves i got at Tractor Supply a few years ago-- again, some un-memorable brand. i've used the heck out of them and they just get better with time.

This suggestion may turn out to be expensive, depending on the supplier, but Roper's gloves which are usually made from deerskin seem to last a long time. Another suggestion Riggers gloves - both are subject to lots of hard wear. Happy Christmas to you and yours!
