We also had a request from Marcin with Open Source Ecology to be on Paul's podcast.

Paul has put podcasts on hold, including my Sunday Walk podcast idea, until further notice.

I think a wheaton labs podcast update might pop out here and there, but no podcasts are planned or scheduled at this time.

The Sunday Walk link above also has interview requests. I think interviews are a brilliant idea, but I'm not sure when Paul might consider them...there is so much going on that it's questionable even IF he would consider them at this point.

Attached is a rare view of Paul getting away from the computer for a bit to expand one of our parking lots at base camp. We need a lot of parking.

How about Steve Solomon? He wrote an influential book called "The Intelligent Gardener". It's about minerals in soils. Either a book give away or podcast would be good.

In addition to wanting to hear more from Marcin, I have two ideas I'd like to hear explored in podcasts (or any other public forum):

1 - I want to hear more about the lessons practitioners have learned from failures and mistakes along the way. Though I learn a lot from everyone reporting on their positive outcomes, I have found I learn at least as much from others' mistakes and failures. I'd love to hear more podcasts about failures.

2 - Personally, I'm interested hearing more about how people are synthesizing what Marcin, Paul, Greg Judy, Mark Shepard, Ben Falk, Fukuoka, Lawton, Holzer and a host of others are doing. I've come to the conclusion that being a purist isn't the best approach (for me, at least). I have no idea how those who are more purists would receive this, but I'm trying to be a sponge and absorb as much from all these sources as possible and find the best ways to apply them to my local situation and context.

Just to let everyone know, especially you Miles, Steve Gabriel is scheduled to do a book promo for Farming the Woods Sept. 15th-19th.

Paul, like many of us, is at times unpredictable.

Something came up, so Paul called Diana Leafe Christian and did a podcast with her. Though that was a bit random.

Paul is not officially scheduling his own podcast interviews at this time. Meaning, if others are producing and publishing podcasts and want to interview Paul, he'd be open to that. When/if he does get back into interviewing other folks for podcasts, I think Mark Shepard might be first on Paul's list to interview. Though, as he's mentioned several times, Paul wants to read Mark's book first.

The thing is, there is enough going on here, at wheaton labs, that if podcasts happen on the fly, they will be mostly related to things here. For example, with Chef Seth here for the permaculture kitchen stuff, Paul and Seth have talked about making a podcast at the end of the month. Plus, I imagine some podcasts will happen with Ernie and Erica and the innovators here for the RMH events. (Tim Barker just arrived from Australia last night and Matt Walker is due to arrive today.)

Speaking of parking lots, have you folks at the lap considered something like this for your hard surface areas?
