OMG ive been offered a JOB!!!

Wow, talk about the universe lining up with my desire---I think it's happening!

One of my best friends in the world, a woman I've known for 25 + years, and who was always a bit amused by my farming ideas---just called and offered me an amazing opportunity.

She knows I haven't even started formal training in permaculture or sustainability yet, but feels I will be the person she wants to create and implement systems on the property she's about to buy.
She and her backers are looking at others, but I suspect this one will be the one.

So their goals are to create community of home owners, home sharers, renters and wwoofers.
Additionally they have people lined up anxious to share weekend workshops, musical theater camps, and all sorts of things.

Specifically I will be working on a design for the woods, adding living fences, animals and water features as necessary.

The property even has it's own water plant---its city water but its a start.


My job right now is to write a job description for myself----since I haven't even seen the property yet, where do I even begin?


I will spend a week on site before I meet with the team in three weeks, gulp, and hope to have some ideas which they love.
Hopefully I can come up with a rough outline at least before I get there, but can I even do that until I walk the land and be there for awhile?

And thanks for the encouragement---I got right to work and watched the first ten videos of Geoff's, which were great.
I have to pace myself---the meeting with the backers isn't until april 13--I have to drive there and get as much studying done as possible too so I can participate meaningfully.

As for the water plant---I have no idea what it's purpose in life is or anything else---just that it was mentioned in the listing. The property is a hundred acres or so, I am very curious about it!
One of our group is a man who spent years working at a ski area---he knows water and water plants from making snow and the waste water systems there.
He's also been our handyman for 20 years--we are very blessed he wants to join us---the man is an absolute savant when it comes to fixing things.

I will report back about the water plant and the site---it may be 'the one' but we wont know for a few weeks.

Maybe being involved with the water plant means a ripple effect throughout the area about getting the fluoride out of the water.
