This year the Permaculture Voices conference is geared heavily towards the entrepreneur, and the prospective entrepreneur.

Many people are attracted to the values of permaculture, but they struggle with how to use the tools and tactics of permaculture in their daily life leaving themselves thinking… How do I make a living doing this?

So tell me! Who all is coming?!

I will happily respond first-

I'm going, it'll be my first conference with Permaculture Voices.

I'm pretty stoked, though just like anything, I'm anxious about making the most of it. I don't love the PV website for the fact that it's just too "sale-ey" for me( I have an adulthood of sales experience, which probably just means I scroll down through almost everything I read). I was sold as soon as I could save enough money because of the podcasts from Diego( https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/permaculture-voices-profitable/id676930917?mt=2 ) and Jack Spirko ( http://www.thesurvivalpodcast.com/ )

I'm learning and I think this will be a good thing, I've been farming with a friend(and family land), selling at markets, and running my own farmers market for two years. We've been using "common sense" principles everywhere we grow, including an additional, large commercial property and a couple urban gardens/farms.

Blah blah- Just excited about learning something new with my $600+time+hotel.

Thanks for responding Josh. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you. Frankly, I am quite surprised that no one else has responded. I kinda thought a lot of people from these forums would be going.

I would totally be going.

If I had the resources for it

I, too, have limited resources. Social Security only goes so far. There are a couple other reasons, but mostly financial.

I'm going, "good lord's willing and the creek don't rise"

I'm speaking in the short form talks,

"the naked truth behind 'Permaculture Chickens' - how permaculture business rescued me from poverty and IS changing the world"

I would love to go, but the only month of any given year that I can even THINK about leaving the farm is January. And this year we have several large projects going in, so my full attention will be mandatory from last tuesday till November. **sad face** On the bright side, 500+ more people will get fed this year thanks to these projects. **happy face**

I will be there! Plan on responding more when I'm in front of my computer. Just wanted to reply quickly while checking email on my phone. Look forward to meeting more people and developing further relationships with fellow permies in just a few weeks!

For those of us who did not go to PV3- The lectures are available for purchase online. I found the broadacre videos to be an amazing deal at $99 - I was so happy with them that At my blog I compared the PV3 videos favorably to some amazing courses I've attended in person. Respectfully nothing compares to live training, but from a value perspective the PV3 videos kick ass.
