thomas rubino wrote:Hi All; I was glad to see this post, as I was considering writing one about A2-A2 milk myself. Many years back my wife was diagnosed with a dairy allergy. Not lactose intolerant, but a full on allergy to any dairy product (all the good stuff) Unfortunately for me who is not dairy intolerant that meant no butter while cooking , no cheese on anything she makes , no cream soups and many more things. If it took milk, cream ,butter, or cheese she couldn't eat it. I will mention that goat cheese and sheep cheese are ok for her to eat but very expensive and only available at certain places .Coconut milk is a very poor substitute and margarine is nasty... Yes we have all the dairy products here for me to use, but only if I make something just for me... or it doesn't get used. About a year ago while talking to a neighbor who happens to have milk cows, he casually mentioned A2 milk... him not knowing about the wife's allergy, he was surprised when I was so interested. Sadly his A2 cow was dried up at that time so we were not able to try any. He assured me that in a month or so she would be back on line and we could try some out. He would give us a call... after 2 months I called him... seems they decided to sell that heifer and did not have another that tested out A2, DARN ! Well we have been on the lookout for A2 ever since . About 3 weeks ago we were shopping at the natural food store in sandpoint ID. As we passed the coolers the wife says hey look, they have raw milk from a new supplier ... maybe it will be A2...SURE IT WILL... located on the bottom shelf I kneeled down to read the tag and OMG A2 MILK !!! we did the happy dance right there in the store. Of course she hadn't actually tried any yet but we were like 2 kids on christmas morning ! Filled with the hope that MAYBE she (and ME ) could eat foods cooked with dairy again... Over to the checkout to pay and then she held off grabbing the jar until we got to the car ... With any A1 dairy product her nose would plug ,her voice go raspy all within 1 minute or less of consuming any dairy at all. With bright eyes and a smile she shook up the cream into the milk and took her first big drink of real milk in over ten years... with baited breath we waited for a reaction .... NOTHING !!! no reaction at all !!! How Cool is this !!! I will not try to explain how and why A2 milk is different ... I don't care ! All I know is she can cook with dairy again ! She has made herself butter ! She is talking about trying to make cheese!!! I have had some of the best homemade soups in years, biscuits and gravy that tastes hmm oh so good. She can stop using coffee mate (sheetrock dust ) in her coffee! We have a new lease on life !! Real foods that are healthy for us and taste oh so good. I have heard that A2 is good for everybody , i don't know... but if someone you know has a dairy allergy then do them a very big favor and locate and bring them some A2 or at the very least give them the information so that they can locate some for them self. The wife says that lactose intolerant people will still need their lactaid pills but anybody with a dairy allergy just got a reprieve from the governor !

thomas rubino wrote:Good article kelly: Seems the jury is still out officially. However I did read quite a few posts following that claimed a personal improvement using the A-2 milk, (cow or goat) . For myself and many other people grass fed raw milk A-1 or A-2 is wonderful stuff. For my wife and others it is only the A-2 that is digestible. In the short time that we have been getting the A-2 we have consumed over 10 gallons between butter and soups and cold glasses of milk, ice cream and cheese are coming ! All with zero reaction from my wife...other than claiming all the rich foods would make her fat !
