This is my son’s sock, he’s determined to wear them outside without shoes on so his socks get holey very fast.

I repaired a hole in my shirt. The majority of my wardrobe has at least one repair, though I hardly ever take pictures. Both shirt and thread are 100% cotton. The thread is quite old, purchased in the Soviet Union (you can see the label says 90 cents) at a time when sythetic thread was the more expensive and hard-to-get option. Its tensile strength is slightly lower than my modern cotton threads and quite a bit lower than my synthetic threads, though this isn't easy to convey in pictures. I did a burn test so you could see it chars rather than melts.
