This has bugged me for a while.

When a post of mine gets a "like" I get a notification. When a post gets an apple I don't. I want to know which posts are getting apples, so I know what posts are being considered valuable.

Recently I saw that my apple count had gone up. I went back through my last dozen or so posts but couldn't find any new apples. I have no idea which post got recognised, or what it was for.

  • Is there are way to find posts with new apples?
  • Is it possible to get notifications for apples?

The email it sends to you when you get a new apple contains a link to the post. Does that help?

Not for now. But we are planning to expand the notification system to include apples and a bunch of other things.

There are options in 'my profile' under the heading 'email preferences' where you can check the box for 'send me an email when I get an apple'.

I don't think there's any way to be notified of an apple other than by email?

I hadn't seen that option, but I actually have it ticked already.

Did some digging in my emails and discovered that they are there (hurrah!) but have been being filtered to a different folder for some reason, so I wasn't seeing them

    Incidentally,

I think that those emails don't quite match up with when my apple count changes. I *think* I got an apple sometime in the past 4 days, but my last email was from 9 days ago.

Sometimes there will be multiple apples in one email for different posts...I guess because they are awarded on the same day?

I realize that wouldn't explain a more recent one missing though.....

Michael. Pretty sure I gave you an apple a couple days ago. Best I can recall it was an old bee related post. That might help you narrow it down. The e-mail notifications seem to work here.

Apples? Seems the post that brought me back demands I need apples to post on it. I finally got a good crop this year, but I ate them all! So no apples 😥. Maybe some frozen strawberries?

I know I gave Michael an apple for his awesome post about making hurdles. https://permies.com/t/101244/critters/sheep-hurdles-effective-mobile-fencing...it looks like that was 7 days ago, though...

I just gave you another apple. Did the email notification and everything come through right?
