I had a rather strange Valentine's Day, since she's thousands of miles away. So I got her landlady, who is also a friend, to get her a little chocolate cake and take her to a restaurant with the landlord's family. It cost me about $25 to send 5 people to lunch in the Philippines. A video call was planned, but the system overloads during the day over there. We do most of our talking at night because of this.
