...the demise of Hilly Billy Mansion...

nope. no building with cardboard allowed on WL. yes, the cardboard on the roof remained undamaged by rain. but the floor cardboard wasn't as lucky. whoever wrapped the roof did a great job; dry cardboard all around. the floor though, well, wet cardboard sucks in the floor just as much as it sucks in the roof.

I found many more wasps and multiple species too. They are still thinking they can rebuild though, in a place that is gone in my mind's eye. What if....naw, pretty sure they're mistaken.

Hi Orin, it's coming together! You mentioned it's 137 inches from centers of the east and west plates, what's your planned final dimensions for the structure? Is the plan to build just this one structure or are you planning to build more next year as well?

...I am a little tired so I am going to hold off on my dimensions....

I've never built with round wood before, so I told any one who asked that I could certainly get the roof on before I left for the season.  I built a same size building in two weeks with standard lumber -round wood is a completely different story.

....so just one structure this year although I have cut the trees for a garage berm shed for vehicles....atleast the large four corner logs anyways.

you still on for October?

roof!

next 3 to 4 days will be adding the living part to this three summer roof.

At the end of three summers, I will remove this roof and replace it with a clay tile roof.
