Everything with the new email system is working great for me...thanks!

I also have a wonderful email provider which is very green, completely free of advertising and totally private. If anyone is interested it is called posteo.de it is located in Berlin Germany but is now also in English. It costs 12€ a year instead of being bombarded with advertising...which I think is a wonderful bargain.

All of the Permies.com emails come through without a problem.

virtual high five, mine's working fine (gmail on firefox) - the two emails were sequential meaning they arrived pretty close together.

I didn't think I got the second email, but then I found it when I was going through my junk mail folder. So I am receiving them, just need to get it redirected to my inbox instead of my junk mail filter.

Thank you for all the feedback everyone.

For those of you that did not receive the second email, and/or are still not receiving the dailyish emails since then, could you please tell me your browser, your email system (gmail, yahoo, etc.), and your operating system (windows, mac, etc.)

for right now, I don't have any super great answers, but just know that we are still working on getting all the kinks out.

As a few other hotmail users have reported, hotmail thinks permies.com is a spammer since the mailer change. I've tried to add you to my contacts and every email I pull out of the spam folder and into my inbox, but every time I do hotmail says "Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks." I know to look for your emails in spam, so it isn't a huge deal for me, but you're probably losing some eyeballs of other users of hotmail, outlook, microsoft, live, whatever other domains microsoft manages.

Ok, most of the problems should now be fixed.

I just sent a 2 parts email and created a new thread to report new issues.

I use gmail. The first email arrived and was properly labeled as Paul Wheaton through my set up filter.

It has a from column "paul wheaton daily-ish <gir@richsoil.com>"
And a to column "myemailaddress@gmail.com"

The second email came through but has an oddity in the heading.

It has a from column "paul wheaton daily-ish <permies@permies.com>"
And a to column "paul wheaton daily-ish <permies@permies.com>"

I'm not sure how this even managed to arrive in my email at all but it did.

I also just made a successful filter to apply my label and it grabbed 8 other previous emails that I hadn't noticed had not been labeled.

Filter
from "permies@permies.com"
to "permies@permies.com"
apply label "permies" to all

Hope this helps.

Oops I just noticed that a new thread was made. May the powers that be shift me over to the new place or should I just copy and paste to the new thread?

This should have been fixed in the latest daily-ish emails that were sent. We have been doing a lot of tweaking lately.

Did you receive the one Cassie sent yesterday?

The one about us losing sweet Cassie to bigger and better things, yes. Also the part 2 (again) on the 25th was corrected also.

Sorry about that, I just got back from visiting my grandparents for grampa's 90th birthday and was playing a bit oh catch up with the emails. You guys rock!

I haven't received a dailyish since the big change. Not in spam or anywhere. I use Gmail.

Thanks for letting us know.

I don't know how to help, I'm just replying to bump this back up to the top.
