I am going to start building my greenhouse very soon. I have a window of where I can build it. My question is should I place it where it will get sun earlier in the day or shift it to get more afternoon sun. It will get the same amount of sun in either place, just wondering if there were pros or cons to either option

Hi Stephan;
Our greenhouse gets afternoon sun. It gets so hot by mid spring that we have to put up the shade cloth.
If I had a choice, I would place yours for early sun.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that would be the issue, but wanted to see if there was any other factors

From the reading I've done, they generally seem to prefer morning sun to afternoon sun.  In the colder seasons you want to get the solar gain happening as early as possible after a cold night.  And the blazing afternoon sun can contribute to more overheating.
