I would like to check something please, and I think I already know the answer.

My house is completely off grid, run on solar panels. If I use my excalibur dehydrator plugged into the wall which is solar powered, would that fly as a 'solar dehydrator'?

I think the answer will be no, but I would like to check as there's really no need for me to make a proper solar dehydrator when I already have one that suits my purposes.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm thinking the answer will be "no" because you didn't build it, but it's an interesting question.

I'm guessing it's a no as well.  I think the goal of the BB is to show that you can dry food in a low tech manner.  I'm sure you don't need to build the dehydrator to get the BB since people get it while at Wheaton Labs using their dehydrator.

The dashboard of a car in the sun could count as a solar dehydrator...  just saying.....

It sure was nice of your sister to lend us her car. Let's show our appreciation by sharing this tiny ad:
