Well, the short
answer starts with leaving work yesterday, having only half-completed my own desired/required projects because there were too many fires to put out on account of "quality and competence erosion" within the facility. Nearing 60, still wondering why all this drama needs to exist and the motivation to step into the cow-pie versus staying mostly on the green pasture grass. Got home to enjoy and nice fall evening and with dishes almost washed, suddenly needed to divert to a dog-fight between two large LGDs....after macing the two of them and myself in the process, it was all my wife and I could do to drag them apart by hind legs (wheelbarrow style). Nearly dead myself from exhaustion, I gave up on dinner and went straight up to bed....where the residual mace kept me up most of the night (assisted by the vehicle noise of the massive 24/7 harvesting going on across the county outside). If the weekend held some R&R there might be that to look forward to,.....but I know that 'gutter
project', '
firewood project', 'roof repair project', 'window cleaning project', and 'floor jacking project'....among others....await instead. Sometimes both mind and body entertain joining "Team Zombie" for the coming apocalypse..... But that's probably just the mace and insomnia talking... ;-/ Sun's rising.....today's a new day!
