Aphids on cherry tree

Some of the leaves of my cherry tree are curled up and when I look inside I see these little black bugs that I believe are aphids. What's the best way to deal with them?

hose them off with your garden hose, just try to knock them off onto something you don't mind them on, like a lawn or drive, not your peas or beans!

If you also have ants climbing up and down the tree, they're probably farming and protecting the aphids.  A ring of diatomaceous earth around the trunk should slow down or stop the ants and then the natural predators will take care of the aphids over time.  That always seems to work when they attack my fruit trees...
