If there happened to be someone posting immediately after every single one of your posts, would you just chalk it up as coincidental?

Would you be annoyed?

I'm thinking flattered would be more appropriate!

Flattering, unless those followup posts were arguing with you each time.

Since I don't sense that, sounds like you have a superfan who really digs your posts, even to the point of searching them out, so they can nod their head at your wisdom and contribute to the topic in their own way.

Similarly, my wife has a groupie on Facebook, who clicks 'Like' on almost everything my wife posts.

I agree with Gary, but will add to that:

When you post, the thread you posted to shows up on the "Permies forums" page which is the page people land on when they sign in. I certainly do, and I suspect many people do, peruse that list for anything they might have an interest in. So since you post a lot, threads you just added to will show up on that list statistically more often than someone who posts once every 6 mnths - yes, we have members like that, too!

Also, anyone can look at your profile page and see your most recent posts. If they have decided that they like either the posts you write, or the threads you tend to add to, following you isn't hard to do.

However, if you *ever* feel as if you are being targeted in a nasty way, hit the "!Report" button and simply state your concern and staff will get on it. Please do *not* engage the culprit yourself - it will muddy the waters and make a bigger mess for staff to clean up.  However, also don't expect instant action. Staff often want to discuss the best approach and look at any possible mitigating factors before acting. But we do take such issues seriously. Keeping permies a safe, friendly, and "nice" space for permaculture followers is very high on our list.

Hi William,
I am not stalking you!! That's a joke, just kidding. I AM stalking you!! Still kidding. I haven't seen any of your posts for a bit so I know you weren't talking about me.

But I do admit that occasionally when I see one of your posts I do click on your profile and look at some of your most recent posts. Just to see if you have commented on something that I had previously looked at and been interested in because..... as I have said before..... YOU KNOW STUFF! A lot of stuff! I think that's darned cool. And I'm pretty convinced that you are probably right a lot of the time. And I think most people don't have such a great track record of being right so often, I don't  but we do try so hard to be helpful.

I think you should definitely take it as a compliment and be flattered! You deserve it.

So while I've got your attention..... Is there any chance that you could ID this plant for me? I found it in my front yard when I moved here 12 years ago. It is an evergreen, super drought tolerant, super heat tolerant vine. At the time I thought WOW, this is just what I need. But it was growing in my gravel driveway. So I dug it all up and placed it next to the path I just built. Thought it would look super along side it. But it flat out refused to obey my commands! It wouldn't grow in the nice soft dirt I gave it. It kept growing into the gravel paths. And the vine is really tough and lays on top of the ground so I was constantly tripping over it. Finally one day my foot got caught in it and I tripped right into a tree and almost knocked myself unconscious! So I tore it all out. Gone forever! And immediately began kicking myself for being so stupid!

I thought it was gone for good but now, 7 years later I just found some of it living way out in my backyard under a dead tree! Mother Nature is smiling on me today! I dug it all up and have it rooting in water for me. This will do so well on my eroding hill with some rosemary and Vetiver grasses. Can you possibly tell me what it is? I've looked it up and can't find it as a native vine in Arizona or as an invasive vine in Arizona. Can't find any mention of it here. And I hope you enjoy your compliments!
Thank you,
Debbie

Bigleaf periwinkle (Vinca major) and it is excellent erosion control, will thrive in most any soil.

You can stalk me any time (wink) and it was more of a hypothetical question, not directed at anyone in particular.

I have particularly loved watching your plant world evolve since I've been here Debbie Ann!

Quite often when someone takes an interest in my post, I will have a look at their topics also to see what they are up to in their world. Very well designed and I haven't really experienced anything negative, but I think its all in how you perceive it...

Well my goodness, thank you so very much! Bigleaf periwinkle.

And I appreciate your compliment as well. But truth be told I probably kill more plants then you could ever imagine!

And I am a big fan! Hope you get out of the city soon.
