I've no idea about the situation (been busy all day!). Let me go digging...

Is this the post, from DIY Bike Roller-Crimper:

I have to ash, why?

I'm thinking that the staff who ran across it thought it looked like you were asking, "Why in the world would you do a crazy thing like that?!?" Rather than, "Oooh, that's really interesting. I've never seen someone crimp their grass down, rather than mow or just let it be tall. Does the crimping make it easier to walk, while still allowing the grass to hold moisture in the soil? I'd love to know all the advantages to crimping grass down!" (My wording is probably far more verbose than necessary...but that's just how I naturally write. You could probably say the same things with less words, while still keeping people from assuming you're saying the person is crazy.)

The post probably could have been Almost-a-Posted, but the staff members who worked on your post might have been busy, and sometimes it takes a lot of "spoons" and mental energy and time to word a Almost-a-Post. And sometimes we'll put 10-20+ minutes wording it nicely, only to still have someone blow up in our faces about it. It's, um, kind of soul-sucking.

Anyway, I'm thinking you could probably just post your question again, worded a little differently to be clear that you weren't insulting their methods, just really curious and actually want to learn more (which is probably what you intended. Sometimes words just get interpreted differently by different people.).

I hope that helps!
