Hello!  I'm pleased to gift seeds I've saved this year to people who promise to plant them, should that be of interest.  Basically I feel very nurtured by gifting seeds, last year I gifted many, many dozens of seed packs with which quite a few people grew beautiful plants.  This year I will do the same!  If you are willing to plant any of these seed varieties, I'm happy to send them to you free of charge while supplies last!

THE LIST:

* Nettles
*Anise Hyssop
* Elecampane
* Marshmallow
* Garlic Chives
* Motherwort
* Purple Beebalm
* Lemon Balm

That's very generous of you! Nettles, elecampane, and motherwort are on my wishlist if they're still available, please. I surprisingly haven't been able to find nettles to forage near me, so I'm finally going to plant my own.

Today I received a generously-loaded envelope of marshmallow and nettles seeds. Awesome!

My idea for how to grow these would be to "winter sow" them in plastic containers outside. That is, unless you advise me of a better way in your experience

Thank you, Violet! I just received your seeds, as well, and am looking forward to growing them.

Mark, it's fun to see someone else who winter sows. I've planted nettles twice in the spring, and they've failed to get well established before the summer became too hot and dry. I've had great success winter sowing other things and am going to try it with nettles this year.

Hi Linda,

Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you --- there was a lot going on in my life.  I'm happy to mail you those seeds and I think I still have some of all of them.  Please send me a message and I'll get them out to you.

If you are still doing free seeds I’m so interested. I haven’t been able to locate nettle or marshmallows in my area. Thank you Betty Gosnell. 155 Little Chuckey Rd. Midway Tn 37809

For those in the United States, I can vouch for the Free Heirloom Seeds project at http://freeheirloomseeds.org/

The seed list varies from month to month. They have a very specific process to request seeds that must be followed which is explained on their website. It's an excellent resource.
