Purple moosage alerts not working for me

Hi,
I get email notifications, but when I login to the site, I do not get the little red number next to the purple moosages like I used to. The messages show as unread when I go to that page. Has anyone else run into this? Has anything changed?

I haven't noticed anything different here Matt. What system do you use: browser, desktop or mobile view?

I get this sometimes.  It's more common if I have permies loged in on more than one gadget.  

It's something to do with sticky cookies and having the browser settings to "load faster with less data using cashe or something like that"  I don't fully understand.

Shift F5 on chrome does a hard reload of a page which should fix it.  Or you might have to clear the browser history more often.

But mostly, the PM system has a lot of little issues.  Improving the PM issues are very low priority as this site is primarily a forum, not a messaging service.

I generally use Firefox in desktop mode.

I will try clearing my temp files. I do tend to be logged on, on a desktop and a laptop. That might do it. Thanks.
