wrongly used info from Permies

Every now and then i do a search for .... well ..... me.   Just to see what comes up.

One of the search results that just came up were from Grushecky.com.  Almost the entire article was from my rocket mass heater forum on Permies - and badly quoted i may add.  It also stated i posted to Github which i am not even a member of.

O.k. guys and gals - what should i do ?  I have sent en email asking them to fix the errors, since it implies that the stove has been w.e.t.t. certified - which it has not.

Let us hope they reply and correct their mistakes.
However, the way they attributed words from you that you did not make... I suspect they will blow you off.
Also, I doubt they would allow a post from you saying they are full of bullshit.
Unless you care to investigate a legal response, I would shake my head and carry on.

Keep telling and showing people about your build and spread the word in person.

It feels like it was written by a not very good piece of software.

We (the folks who care) have to always keep an eye on those that for some reason, wish to make themselves known, for some kind of goodness that they feel needs to be spread, (doesn't matter if it is true)  

If they do it for personal gain (selling to those that don't know) we owe it to ourselves to stop them in their tracks.  Perfect example, was a fellow, singing to the world that his mass, even though it weighed 1/10 as much, held more heat for longer than anyone else's mass, it took a bit (forcing him to tell how his physic's were different than anyone else's)  but he did get shut down somewhat.   There are plenty of others out there,  creating untested, "worked once" heaters,  only to sing high praises of themselves.

I really enjoy the good folks on here.   To build, run it every day, explain what they did right, and what corrections were made to get it right.  These are good things.

A lot of websites, like this forum, do care about posting other peoples information and not giving credit.

If I were in this situation I would contact the website in question and ask them nicely to take down the information or give credit by linking to where the information was found.

Agreed.  Or at least correct some of the glaring mistakes....

reads like absolutely no human was involved in the process.  I hope you are successful in getting someone to take responsibility to correct or remove.
