Do you know how to make cement with your wood ash? Eliot, an expert instructor at Wheaton Labs for the 2023 Permaculture Technology Jamboree, does! Primitive Technology has a video on making wood ash mortar and building a brick hut using it. The process is likely too time and material intensive to make mass concrete quantities, but if you have a wood fire anyway, you may well be able to make enough mortar to build things.
