I've had a few days off and devoted them to my PEP.  I have the book, started to read it, set it down, forgot about it.  It's been on my mind though.
So, I've been reading the online version of the SKIP book and the SKIP forum entries.

I begin by clicking on the SKIP forum and looking at the different Badges.
I then found, and downloaded, the pdf worksheets of each version of the badges:
Sand, Straw, Wood, Iron.
I don't have a pdf editor so I used a free converter to convert it to Word so I could edit it using my Microsoft 365 subscription.

I enter my submissions on my computer.
I'll pick my topic, open the forum and thread describing the requirements.
I'll quote the requirements, read them and use that as my submission message.
I grab my phone, gather materials and start documenting with photos or video.

I email my photos to myself so I can access them on my computer.
I edit the photos down to 800 pixels wide and 50% quality to make them smaller and easier to send.
I created a free Shutterstock account to upload my videos so permies.com can access them.
I upload my videos to my (heretofore unused) YouTube channel.
I upload my photos to my Shutterstock account.

Then, I get back to my submission message I started earlier.
I first explain what I did, materials and how I did it.
Then, I add photos and videos with a short description of what they are.
    To add my photos to Shutterstock;
I access my email on my computer and download the photos.
I have a dedicated storage device for Permies.com and have a SKIP folder.  This is where I create a different
folder for each Badge, then Bit, then project.
I drag and drop the zipped (compressed) file to the appropriate folder.
In this folder is where I edit my photos.  I have Windows 10 so just double click on the photo
and crop and save.  Then, right click on the image and click on "Resize image".
At this point, I upload the photos by going to Shutterstock.
There is a big UPLOAD button at the top right.  I click it and navigate to my photos on my computer,
choose them and click OK to upload them.
I'll pick the first photo and double click on it.
Then, right click on the photo and click "Copy image link".
I toggle back and forth from Shutterstock to my post by using the ALT and TAB keys at the same time.
I press and hold the ALT key while "scrolling" through each open window by tapping the TAB key.
When I'm back to my post I'll click "Img" and paste the image link.
To add my videos to YouTube:
I click on my video and choose the share button.
I choose the YouTube option and follow the prompts to add a description, etc.
Once it's added, I copy the url at the top.
When I'm back to my post I'll click "YouTube" and paste the image link.
When I have entered everything required for my post I add "Submission for BB certification" at the bottom.
I then Preview the post.
YouTube videos show up after you submit your bb certification request (it's a button)
When the post is ready, I click the "Submit for BB certification" button and the post shows.

Then, I copy the url from that post and go to my Word version of the relevant pdf worksheet.
Find my BB and past the url to help me keep track of everything in one place.
Then, I click "Save" to save my changes to the worksheet.

I like seeing all the BBs in my signature!

Hope this helps someone else!

Additionally, I stack functions for some batch bits.  For example, right now I am:
1 Collecting dishwater from doing dishes.
2 Cleaning the kitchen - took pics of the before and then will take pictures of the after-kitchen cleaning.
3 Making 2 loaves of bread (once the kitchen is clean...lol).
4 Cleaning out the oven with only baking soda and water (after baking the bread, of course).

* I forgot to mention my superpower is "efficiency"!  Lol

I also scan the pdf documents (Sand, Straw, Wood, Iron) for future projects and note them on my temp Word document.  My temp Word document is where I add the reqs and edit my posts before copying and pasting them into my Reply for the Badge Bit.

Hi, Tina, you might find this helpful:

This is a forum for all your SKIP and PEP journals, logs, picture threads, and progress threads. If you'd like to make a thread showing off your SKIP successes, make it here! If you need a place to store your SKIP pictures or progress, make it here!

https://permies.com/f/503/skip-workshop

I have added your thread to that forum.
