Someone approached me via PM asking to live in one of my houses at my expense, provided I renovated it first, with me then paying all his living costs. I politely declined. Now, months later, he's sent me a PM that is not "nice".

I've had a bad enough day without being abused on Permies, a site I love and see as safe. Is there any way I can bar this individual from PMing me in future?

Abusive PMs will not be tolerated. I will alert those above and get this taken care of. Sorry you had to deal with this Jane.

There's a report button on PMs. Sadly, I don't think you can't put any explanation on it, but it'll allow us to know to look into them (it looks like you've done that).  Posting here is also perfect, because we'll go peek in your inbox and find who'd being a jerk and stop him/her.

Basically, you've done everything right, and he won't be sending you any more PMs. If he does, please tell us because that'd mean there's be a glitch in the system that we need to look into.
