since the rocket oven is our only oven. we cook it all in there. We are eating a parsnip/leak/nettles fritatta and a parsnip cake for dinner tonight

Christmas day we cooked a turkey in the oven. All 22 pounds!!

Yes it is an odd picture but if you look in the oven you can see pizza. A vegan cheese, garlic and tomato pizza!

Hi T;
Looking good!
Divert some smoke in there and try these.
Smoked baked potato, basted with garlic butter!!!
Then there is stuffed roasted chicken.
Beef and Pork roasts for those non-vegetarians out there.

I have thought about adding smoking chips in the oven. How would one divert smoke in to the oven?

Oh, the turkey and pizza look tasty.

How about some ribs? Or a brisket?

"How would you divert smoke into the oven"
I have been pondering this question all day.

My answer is it can be done!
Just not easily...
I would build a small metal box attached via 4" pipe to the oven, (i said it would not be easy).
Like a cold smoker, your hickory chips would be a small separate smokey, non-rocketing fire, just enough to flavor your food.

OR... maybe build yourself a black and white oven like mine... just saying...
