Hey fellow permies,

is the "answer within 48 hours" actually a thing and if yes, is here the place to post about it?

As far as I know, it is a thing. And this is the perfect place to put a message. Keep in mind though, that my understanding is 48 hours to get a reply. We cannot promise to have someone with the expertise to answer every question.

Yes, the 48 hr rule is a real thing:

If 48 hours goes by and you have not received an excellent answer, please post a note in the tinkering forum with a link to the thread and I will put in my answer. It probably won't be excellent, but I'll try.

Every so often I try to go through the `Zero Replies` so folks will not have to post the 48 hr rule.

I am sorry I had not seen her post though I probably would have pasted it up because I don't know about electric tractors.

It looks like she has gotten some good replies and one that might fix the problem.

Hey Matt, hey Anne,
thanks for your replies. Of course not everything can be answered completely in 48 hours. But now I feel like Christy has something to work with. Much better than just my attempt of getting the post some attention.

We think it is a really nice thing to do to reply to posts with zero replies. If it has been around for while, this will bump the post to the top even if the answer is just a 'good question, I wonder about that too' sort of response. Sometimes like Anne, I point the OP to other threads that may be of help, or even offsite. I know it's not as good as a response from experience, but it might save someone else, as well as the OP, some searching in future and build a better resource overall.
