Fred Tyler will be our ringer during rocket week at Wheaton Labs.

Rocket week, part of our theme weeks, takes place Oct. 6 through Oct. 12, 2014. More details about rocket week here.

Fred has spent several years in the Permaculture Bootcamp at Wheaton Labs and is skilled in all things rocket mass heaters.

If you rent  a cabin or a bunk during "rocket week" you'll have a chance to watch, learn, and even help with rockety stuff.

Some of the projects Fred will work on include:

- harvest sand, clay and straw - the materials for making cob
- working on the cob hat for the rocket mas heater in the red cabin ( some  interesting bits about the cob hat in the Red Cabin here)
- building cob hats on rocket mass heaters in other buildings
- improvements and repairs on various rocket mass heaters

If you had a little league baseball team and you snuck in a professional baseball player who pretended to be qualified to play on your team, you would call that person a ringer.

Fred has a lot of experience with rocket mass heaters and laying on finishing cob.
