Youtube Shorts not showing up as embedded

Hey fellow permies with more understanding of how the site works.
I came across a difficulty yesterday.

In the thread permies.com/t/275414/Matt-Walker-Tiny-Stove-build#2874098 the embedding of the Youtube videos doesn't work.

When I un-embed them, the link shows up, as expected. When embedded we can see the code and not the video.
Is that a known problem? Do Youtube shorts not function?

take the UOqrLsPIHtQ bit and stick it in a 'normal' youtube link, like this.

Shorts came out years after our youtube embed stuff was added to permies.
