My post on
https://permies.com/t/281000/Recommend-recipes-food-garden-Chinese#2963234
doesn't have a clickable link, despite me editing it a couple times to add the url tags.  It shows as clickable in the preview.  Does this post have the same issue?  Posting to find out.

How strange!

I can see the hyperlink in this post. In the post you are speaking of, the URL does not have the tags on it.

If you can still edit, can you give it another try? I'm wondering if you might have a '.' on either end of the URL causing it to have issues.

Insert a space between the ellipsis and the URL.

From the post you linked to...

G Freden wrote:Here's another non spicy recipe from Maangchi which I use when I have too many greens.  I've used it on beet greens, broccoli leaves, kale, radish leaves, turnip greens...https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sigumchi-namul.  It compresses a large amount of greens into a much more manageable, tasty amount.

There's no space between "greens..." and "https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sigumchi-namul"

Without space - greens...https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sigumchi-namul

With added space - greens... https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/sigumchi-namul

Edit - ooops, Chris beat me to it...

That was strange.  I highlighted the link in the editing box and clicked the url button to add the tags in the first place (and all subsequent tries).  Is that a known issue:  not leaving a space in front of a link?  Anyway, my link is live after adding the space, thanks.

I never use the url tool like that.

It automatically makes any url a link if there is a space either side (except some links but that's unusual and a different issue).  Using the url button here is an unnecessary step and I'm too lazy for it.

Or if I want the url to have text on top, I make sure nothing is highlighted, then press url button and follow the prompt.
