Happy Birthday

This morning I was wondering how old Paul is. So I looked on the infotubes. It claims that today is his birthday. Well happy birthday then. I won't disclose age. It doesn't matter beyond curiosity. Anyone that wants to know can look it up but I did think it deserved recognition from someone who only recently has found these forums. I didn't know how or where else to say it.

I love what you've been doing. Probably the most important work on the planet.

I am but one man but I doing what I can stand. Good work on making it another year.

We are almost the same age. If only I found this site 25 years ago, before it existed.

I think your source is poor - today is not my birthday.  But it is fun to pretend it is!

Yesterday, one of the boots got me something for fathers day - that was pretty cool!

That's funny, I should have been more cautious. Happy Birthday whenever it is. Happy Father's Day as well. What a sweet boot!

But first I had to read the never reveal your age link. I could not agree more with your post Paul. I've never been able to tell how old most people are which is why I looked you up this morning to begin with. Not important beyond time wasting curiosity while consuming caffeine. Maybe only because I woke up more sore than I would prefer to be.

To me, even with getting a date wrong for someone's birthday, it is the thought that counts!

How are your gardens and Wheaton Labs projects?

The gardens are the most glorious they have ever been!  Pumping out heaps of food.  We are preserving lots of food today!

We have cherries that are ripe.  Cherries from a tree started with a cherry pit!

Not yet ripe:

And apples from apple seed.  

And apricots from pit.  

plums and nectarines.  

Enough walking onions and sunchokes to feed 20 people year round!

Potatoes everywhere!

I find it more interesting that, according to the internet, he resides in Moscow, Russia and has a net worth of  $37.4 million.  He can have as many birthdays a year as he wants.

When jocelyn lived here, she made a big birthday thing for me.  Since then (about five years ago) my birthday is no different than any other day.  Sometimes it is a few days later that I realize that I need to remember that my age is now +1.

I tried my poor source two more times and got three different answers. None were as good(?) as that though!

I was like this for years. Gradually a few people started remembering and then reminding me that it was my birthday. It made me uncomfortable at first. At some point I decided to accept it and even make an effort to reciprocate. It doesn't come easy and I often fail at it. Now as we get to the age where some of us probably never expected to make it for whatever reasons, it seems slightly more worth at least acknowledging.
