I am now converting my rocket mass heater from a j style to a batch box. I have seen no new videos how well they are doing. I bought the DVDs years ago when I did my J Style but I still haven't gotten any updates of how the batch box is really doing. I have looked on YouTube periodically to see something new and have not. Hmm I'm wondering

Hi Tammy
Batchboxes are awesome.
I also started with J-Tubes, my first with a piped mass, and the second was a hybrid with a barrel and a brick bell.
Peter has just released a new design Batchbox, affectionately known as Shorty Core.

I have two first-generation Batchboxes, and I built the first Shorty core in the US.
Here are some threads you might find helpful.

Hey Tammy, are you referring to the batchbox that was built in the classroom at Wheaton Labs? I believe that one made it onto the DVDs. It is still going strong. A number of people have learned how to use it and submitted pictures or video for the PEP badge Start and Operate a Batch Box RMH
