Hello All I am new to Permies. Ive lurked for a while looking up and learning. Yet, Ive reached a point where I figured Id make my presence known. I live in Northeast GA, Hartwell to be exact and I am planning on starting a Aquaponics System. A 55 gallon drum system.
This one to be exact:

Being that Im an Artist and I have no shame in scavenging I acquired a ton of glass, some still in their frames, from a
local condemned home. I would like to fabricate a green house outside my studio here...
Actually I was planning to extend it off the covering. It would probably be 8 by 11 by 10 (at its highest point). I was worried though. I want to eventually grow tilapia but was concerned about the cold months. It doesnt get crazy cold here but it does get cold
enough to snow, so yeah nights in the low teens. I thought maybe doing a
rocket stove and making the thermal mass be a boarder shelf around the entire green house.
Scenario 2 is this...
I have already put in a
rocket stove. I extended this over a year ago and never made a decision on the foundation. I had it
wood for a while and just recently ripped it up to put in the stove. I thought maybe I could house the aquaponics in here and use grow
lights. Yet I know that that could get expensive, but maybe the temperature could more easily controlled inside the barn. The 3rd possible scenario is to rip up the tin roof on this part and glass in the top. It leaks here anyways so its not like I would miss the tin. Although the sun would be limited to mid day. Could you duo the grow lights to be on morning, then off mid day, then on evening? I know that this can be sensitive to the plants, but in the end would save on electricity.
Im just trying to utilize what I have, minimize cost, and reap the best result haha.
