Brk day 22
There seems to be something in the air today. It feels like many of us are walking around with tired minds and/or heavy hearts.
For me, perhaps I’m feeling a sense of wistfulness. I did not attend the
PDC as a student, but there was some kind of magic that was created between everyone who was here for that event. There seemed to be a cohesion and flow that felt really lovely even from the outside. I miss that group dynamic and quite a few of the people that passed through here for a minute to help create it.
I’m also thinking about the approaching goodbyes to the
boots who are leaving after event season, having fulfilled their work exchanges. Individuals who I have always known to be here in my time and who have greatly shaped my
experience so far.
There is a greater open-heartedness that has emerged within me while here and I have developed such an affection for the folks I live alongside. It’s bittersweet to notice this while also knowing that many of these relationships are so transient. It feels like family here, or tribe as Erica says, but one that is ever-shifting and changing, becoming something new with each coming and going. A new concoction, an altering of the soup. It’s a creative process?
As lovely as this may be, it’s with a little pain that you must say goodbye and let go.
Goodbye Matt
Goodbye Waldo 🌟
And good luck to you both
