When doing these Wheaton maps, I was influenced by old birds-eye view city maps I found on the internet. There is one of Austin Texas that I saw in a few Austin-local offices.

In my cartography classes we were taught that bird's eye view maps should be designed based off of conversations with birds on their spring migratory routes heading north. I guess it works out the same...
