I see the curvature of the earth all the time since moving to Northwest Indiana. Standing on the beach near my house, the Chicago skyline is 30 miles away, and only buildings above ~40 stories can be seen on a clear day.

And this is the same in different kinds of weather, temperature, etc? No changing "mirage" effects that show more or less of tall buildings? None of the proposed flat earth symptoms?

Actually, sometimes the buildings are upside down...

A quick update for anyone interested. There was an international flat earth conference this year at the beginning of this month (Nov.). Some good presentations were presented. I recommend Iru Landucci's and Jeran and D. Marble and the Globebuster's presentation (which has the rest of Iru's presentation in it).

This is real permies. Some approach it from a strictly religious perspective, just so you're aware of that. The evidences outside the bible are numerous and cannot, in my opinion, be ignored anymore.

Observations, lack of measurable curvature, gryoscopes, mems devices, physics of water, which is what this thread is intended to show. Just some of the things you may want to look into....

This topic is now locked.

It seems to have degenerated purely into a flat-earth debate, and debate of any kind is not allowed on permies.

Anything of a purely practical nature seems to have been covered in this thread, and if anyone wishes to discuss flat-earth stuff further, it will only be permitted in the cider press.
