Where do you get your cheese making supplies? Rennet, cultures, forums, presses, kits, you name it.
Let's make this a great big
thread of cheesemaking supply shopping.
makecheese.ca is a Canadian company. I ordered some rennet and cheese molds from them. It was shipped out a few hours later and arrived the next day. Very impressed. However, I didn't read the instructions on the liquid rennet. It's double strength, so 1/2 teaspoon does 2 gallons. I make 1-gallon batches, and use 1/4 dose of rennet... so measuring out .15cc of liquid is a bit challenging - but thankfully not impossible with the use of an insulin syringe.
UrbanCheesecraft etsy store. I bought their motza kit and it's great for making quick cheese with guests. I'm not terribly fond of the
vegetarian rennet, as I don't know if it's GMO or not. But the rennet works well for both quick cheeses and more natural style of cheese making.
