Jocelyn sent me a link to this site, and I think it's something worth mentioning here in the forums. Though a lot of us strive to live simply and off the land, it's hard to break those years and years of habits like mashed potatoes and fried chicken, and going paleo can be a bit difficult for a lot of us to adjust to -

never mind the time it takes to find recipes, put together shopping lists, plan our week...it's a lot of work, especially when it's not second nature.

I generally try to keep it simple when it comes to my diet, but even I get too busy to do my meal planning for the week, and that's where I think systems like this are really super nice, for those of us that just need someone to slap the information together and put it all in one place for us (saves me a few hours on Pinterest, for sure).

Paleo Plan is an online membership program that includes meal plans (complete and ready to roll), shopping lists, TONS of recipes, and exercises, for those that feel so inclined to do so.

It's only $8 per month, and comes with a 14 day free trial, so you can see if it's something that's going to save you enough time to be worth your while. If you're struggling to stay on top of a paleo diet, this is a great way to get a handle on it, without spending a lot of time OR money.

You can sign up for their free trial here.

However, the real deal right now they have going is this crazy eBook bundle -

it's literally a retail value of over $1,100 that they're offering right now for $29
, as part of their Evolve Your Life bundle. This is a great way to get started with paleo, or to just get the motivation, information, and inspiration you need to just get it done.

Here's a bit of what's included:

  • 50+ illustrated recipes books
  • paleo/primal eBooks
  • Online workshops and eCourses
  • fitness challenges
  • LOADS of coupon codes for natural products
  • lifestyle resources

  • Basically, just a big, giant, humongous digital ensemble of all things paleo, primal, and fitness to get you started, keep you motivated, and help you fall easily into the paleo lifestyle.

They're only offering this bundle now through July 13th though, so if you want it, don't forget about this deal.

You can snag the whole bundle here.

My paleo meal plan goes something like this...

Take whatever vegetables are available today, chop them up and throw them in a pan together. Toss in garlic, onions, and a bit of meat.  Either stir-fry them or add water, broth, or vegetable juice to make a soup. If I'm feeling lazy and don't want to spend the effort to stir-fry, then put them in the crock pot or into a roasting pan in the oven. For breakfast, I might top the vegetables with a goose egg instead of meat.

While I'm in the garden, munch on whatever raw greens, fruits, or seeds are available.

Don't eat grain products like wheat, breads, cakes, cereals, rice, etc...
Don't eat soybean, cottonseed, or canola oils.
Don't eat the effluents from  a chemical factory.
These three don'ts basically eliminate processed foods from my meal plan!
