help with testing the new digital market

So the general idea is to replace scubbly, which is closing its doors at the end of this month.  

We did some early testing about a week ago, and now devaka has done a major upgrade.  We now have the ability for hundreds of people to post their digital stuff and offer it for sale.  We think.      And, people can sell their stuff via affiliates.  All of my stuff will be set up with a 40% affiliate fee - please let me know if I have missed anything.  

Stuff can also be sold for pie - but we can't do pie with affiliate stuff yet.

I need people to sign up and test all the affiliate stuff.  



If we do a good job with this, I hope that by the end of the week we will have all of these sellers moved over:

ernie and erica (heaps of plans)
mike oehler (books and vids)
steven harris (vids)
tim barker (ebook)
adam klaus (ebook)
jesse biggs (plans)
thomas elpel (books and vids)
segei boutenko (books and vids)
ben peterson (books and vids)
justin rhodes (vids)



Scubbly took a 9% cut, which included paypal stuff.  We are passing on whatever paypal's cut is (Something like 30 cents + 2.9%) and taking a 1% cut.   I think we can continue with 1% and be fine.  We will see.  We hope to add bitcoin support in a month or two.


This is a great time to ask lots of questions and, most of all, experiment and test all this stuff.  Scubbly goes down in a just a few days!

When purchasing the Permaculture Playing Cards eBook, the link to the download didn't appear until *after* I had paid. Looking at the RMH and WDG "tiny downloads", the download link is already there. I clicked on it to test it and the message reads, "You are not allowed to download this file". So, that does work properly, just different.

Thanks for making downloads available for those who requested it. I look forward to seeing who all will be selling their stuff. For me, "tiny downloads" need to be really tiny, as the 91MB card download took a long time.

I do hope the new digital feature is set up in a way that nobody refers to you as "Bill".

The videos are about 500 megs each.  That's really small for a video.  We can make them smaller, but I think this is about as small as we want to go.

I am trying to emulate scubbly in that respect.

I hope that we are making things freaky smooth for permaculture sellers everywhere.

The important thing is, that you should not be able to see the attachment link until you have paid for it.

Just verified with devaka.  A real life bug.  Apples and pie for you!

Just that I understand correctly:

The market is digital, but the products might not necessarily be? I saw a post for someone selling a sprayer.

Anybody can develop a product, put it up for sale here, and other people can sell that product as an affiliate?

Is there a vetting process for products? Other than the affiliate commission, is there an "empire tax" on other people's products?
