There are some easy, modest means (as in humble amounts of money) ways to earn money to pay some of your own personal expenses while at wheaton labs. And there is the potential to level up your entrepreneurship to some decent coin as well.

Wheaton Labs has a variety of residents beside Paul and Fred:  ants (those who rent an ant village plot), boots (those in the permaculture bootcamp), workshop attendees, short-term rentals ( people in the Sepper program), and we'd love additional long-term renters/residents (not necessarily in ant village) as well.

Here is the list of money making opportunities listed on the bootcamp webpage:

a little jingle in your pocket

There's quite a few ways to get a little jingle in your pocket:

COIN-1: Several boots have harvested hundreds of dollars by posting pics and videos of theirs experiences here in the BRK program.

COIN-2: And if there is a special tool or bit of warm clothes you would like to have, the Boots Love and Ant love programs have proven to be quite generous.

COIN-3: When people need a ride to and from the airport a person with a rig could harvest pick-up and drop-off bounties.  (Normally $35 one way during normal hours and $55 for crazy hours)

COIN-4: When a boot is here long enough, they can harvest some coin giving tours.

COIN-5: Sometimes we have a rush and there is a need for people to help with rentals - and that pays money!

COIN-6: Some Ants and Deep Roots people have paid for help with their plots - building and gardening.

COIN-7: We have a neighbor that sometimes needs some construction help and has paid for that on evenings and weekends.

COIN-8: Some residents in the past have set up patreon accounts and made a few hundred bucks a month posting videos and pics.

COIN-9: When you have a plot to play with, you can build a fence and some gardens and a structure.   And then you can sell those improvements to somebody else.

COIN-10: When a Boot is here long enough, they can harvest some coin helping with events on weekends.

COIN-11: Sometimes people come in the Sepper program and would like to build experiences.  Mostly with a SKIP BB (Badge Bit).  If you have experience with that, there can be an exchange.

COIN-12: From time to time, the bounty program could be available to people with ample experience that have been in the Bootcamp long enough to be self directed.  And there are currently bounties of $100 to $200 for making videos that go into Paul's youtube channel.

A word about a few that Paul mentioned in the boots thread.

COIN-5: Help with rentals - Lara is still optimizing our systems for this, but once we have a busier schedule, we could certainly use (and have paid residents) for cleaning / changeover help with rentals.

COIN-8: See this permies.com thread about Patreon for more info on how that works.

COIN-10: Help with events - again, we're still optimizing, and there are things we need to have in place, but we would certainly love to pay for help, or even a COOK for some (or eventually many?) events!

Ask questions here! We'll try to add more info about these things as we are able.

Some of the things we might hire you for at wheaton labs could be a Commerce badge bit - see https://permies.com/wiki/108329/PEP-Badge-Commerce for more info.

What I don't understand is how they changed the earth's orbit to fit the metric calendar. Tiny ad:
