This badge bit (BB) is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in textiles.

In this project, you will make a ‘comfy chair’ (one person sofa).

Minimum requirements:
 - all materials (frame and cushions) will be made from natural materials
 - will use a natural wood frame
 - zero glue, plywood, particle board, wafer board, etc. in the frame
 - for the frame, you can:
      - build your own
      - re-use an existing frame (if it meets our standards)
      - hire somebody to build the frame (to our standards)
      - purchase a frame (if it meets our standards)
 - upholstery and cushion stuffing will be from natural materials (wool, heavy cotton, leather, etc.)
 - describe how your chair won’t end up lumpy
 - cushions will be sewn, not glued.

To document completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pics or video (< 2min):
 - Describe your chair: Size, choice of materials, and how you will make or obtain the frame.
 - Describe how you will avoid lumpy cushions.
 - Show and describe the frame.
      - If you make the frame, show us the process.
 - Show and describe the upholstery fabric and cushion stuffing
 - Show and describe the construction of the cushions.
 - Your completed chair with no lumps in the cushions.

Just to be clear, does natural wood include 2x4 or other dimensional lumber?

Yup, store bought or wild crafted wood is just fine.  Can't use a machine-made, glue-filled material like OSB, plywood, waferboard, particle board, etc...

He puts the "turd" in "saturday". Speaking of which, have you smelled this tiny ad?
