Imagine a permies alphabet. Each letter looks like something you might find at Wheaton Labs.  Amazing right?

Here's a space where we can brainstorm ideas for a pictorial 'font' made up of all things Permies.  These will be great for future Permies projects.

For example:

  • the letters "J" or "L" could be represented by a cross-section of a rocket stove or J tube.
  • Capital "T" could be a hammer, primitive or otherwise
  • Capital "Y" could be a seedling sprout

  • Here are a few guidelines:
  • Be as descriptive as possible so everyone gets it
  • Feel free to upload images that show what you mean.
  • Remember that upper and lower case letters can have different symbols since the letters look different.

  • Get the idea?  Game on!  Let's see which suggestions get the most apples.

    These may be a stretch...

A lowercase 'n' could be a mounded hugelkultur bed?
An uppercase 'M' could be two tipis next to each other?
An S (either upper or lower) could be a snake.

    Capital "M" could be mountains.

"S" (either case) could be a winding mountain road.

Captital "H" could be a section of fencing.

    Capital "A" for a A frame structure.

Æ is obviously a solar dehydrator, I know it’s not a basic letter but… Look at it!

I'm thinking an upper case "A" would make an amazing tipi.

Letter "Q" could be a cast iron skillet!

Letter "H" could be a farm stand!
