I give this book 10 out of 10 acorns!

This book is super-charming in writing and illustration and I love the focus on getting a real person in the real world into this very outside the mainstream lifestyle. It's a quick read and I wish there was more detail sometimes while at the same time, there's so much of their situation that's so different from mine (I mean climate and landform mostly) that more detail would just be frustrating if it wasn't written for my place specifically. (I guess I'll have to do that if I want it done.)

It's a quick read and I found it very inspirational. I'm really thinking about clearing up some land into 66-foot squares with banks between them just to see how that structure works for me.

I just watched the 30 Years of Homesteading in Europe video and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a hard sell, but I have to say: two thumbs up! This guy is authentic and practical. I believe I will watch it again. And all the others in due course. Thanks for posting!
