No idea! I can tell you that you're not the only one puzzled and that quite a few people reported it wondering why it had an apple core. I could have been a slip of the finger, or maybe a moderator read something into it that none of the rest of us saw.
I think it must have been an accidental core? I wondered if when giving a core one is asked if they are sure that's what they want to do, like what happens with a 'thumbs down' now?
I thought the post was funny and similar to what other's were thinking...she's a great daughter! we all want someone who 'gets it'.

My apologies. It was an accident and i think i fixed it. Scrolling through a thread on smart phone makes the apple core option pop up based on where my thumb hits the screen.
Wayne, no need to apologize, I was just afraid I inadvertently offended someone.
Thanks to all of you that reported the apple core, and for those that worked to correct it or took the time to send me a PM. I appreciate it very much.
I seldom go on permies without accidentally scrolling along the thumbs down feature. Then I hit the button saying to cancel it.
I wonder how many times I've given an accidental thumbs-up to some dumbass thing. Doing it on a cell phone means not seeing how many apples you have, which might be a healthy thing.

That happens to me often on my phone as well. I love the feature that asks if you're sure you want to give someone a thumb's down.
Yup. Constantly.

The absolute worst for me, is accidentally giving someone an apple instead of a core. There is just no easy way to recover from that, cause by the time I can undo it, they already got a message saying that they got an apple.

Thank you for posting that Jen. I'm glad you took it the way I intended.
