As you know, there has been book promotions going on for the past few months. A lot of them were on the permaculture forum. However, we would like to get book promo going for other forums as well. not sure if youre looking for more stuff to add to the promotion list for different forums, but since i see a few that will not get any promotions from this list (and therefore not as much traffic to said forums)

could we get any for the fungi forum from either of these lists:
    http://www.grannysstore.com/Wildflowers_and_Edibles/Mushroom_Identification.htm
    or
    http://fungi.com/shop/mushroom-books/identification-guides.html
or of course one of stamets books would be cool

and for survival forum, how about something from these guys:
    books: http://www.hopspress.com/Books/index.html
    DVD's: http://www.hopspress.com/Videos/index.html

A possible experiment: what if we had six people get onto a skype conference call and come up with a list? Would there be interest in such a thing?

IF my silly computer will allow me to download skype (its so finicky with some things) than sure, though im not entirely sure how much i'd have to contribute to said list other than the aforementioned... unless something tickles my brain in conversation that is

You could open a thread in the sub-forum asking for the best resource in each topic. Then you'd get the attention of the people who frequent those topics the most and would have the best advice.

Paul Stamets, Mycelium Running. This is an amazing book and an amazing topic. He has a chapter in one of his books about Mycology and Permaculture. He is a genius and is doing amazing things to help our world. He lives in the state of Washington. Shouldn't be hard to get to, although I'm sure he's super busy.

We might already have a glut of cooking/food choice authors, but here's another: Cynthia Lair.

As assistant professor and Culinary Curriculum Director for Bastyr University, author Cynthia Lair is dedicated to educating people about the benefits of whole foods and their role in developing healthy children, young adults and families. Her cookbooks, Feeding the Whole Family and Feeding the Young Athlete exemplify this. She is also the host of the online cooking show Cookus Interruptus, believing that education is best when accompanied with humor.
