Just like last year, I said I'd be back by May 15th at the latest! We'll see what really happens tho

I must have missed it...  Why do you need to leave so soon?  I'd think you have a couple months before the snow starts flying.

Probably empty the 300 gallon tank, the sand bio filter, and soak the pyramid hugel before I tidy On Narrow Pond and pack.

Winter starts already now at Montana???

Mike and Inge,

My plan was to stay until September 15th this year, or was until I damaged the tractor's grill and lost a month's worth of food replacing the grill.

I need a wad of cash to buy my perennials because I am going to do my food protection and food forest with two year or older trees and bushes. So it's off to the races.

Who knows, I might bring people back to the Boot Camp, not expecting it though. People are looking to party with vaccinations and a lower infection rate in some places rather than being concerned that the planet's issues are only beginning to be very obvious (have been since the last six years as far as I am concerned).

Decommissioned End's Well for the winter and soaked the pyramid hugel with 40 gallons of water.

There is sand coming up from End's Well again. It might be because I used it only once a week or the well has less water in it at the end of the summer.

Also, I won't buy a water tank whose outlet is above the lowest point of the tank. Sure, a low spigot risks getting broken off but a 4 inch height above the bottom ensures one has to turn the tank upside down to really empty the tank with out a siphon pipe.

I'm unclear on the story. Were you required to take down the cabin?

I'm thinking that Orin has his own visions as to what he'd want for his structure. Instead of spending time cutting down more wood and making more cob, he used what was already there and repurposed it into his own vision. He also seems to be a hard, detailed worker who doesn't take shortcuts that could cause problems in the future. I'm thinking he wants his place to exactly the way he wants it.

I'm sure glad that he's gone. Now I can read this tiny ad in peace!
