Summary
Paul talks with Adrien about the state of the Empire. Paul starts the podcast by talking about the email flow. He then moves on to thank the people who sent him really wonderful emails and gifts via snail mail. Paul expresses that he feels bad for not responding to all of the emails, but mentions that he has read all of them.
They then move on to Paul's policy on using the material he has online. Paul mentions the upcoming podcast series on the book Just
Enough: Lessons in Living Green from Traditional Japan. That series will be available only for purchase only.
Paul talks about how surprised he is that the political podcast sold so much. He talks about the upcoming Kickstarter on rocket stoves.
People have been asking how things were going with Paul's new laptop. Turns out, he is not too impressed with it. Paul and Adrien talk about the problems with Paul's new camera and how it has made editing videos harder. They then talk about his new cell phone, how he has gone through a dozen headsets.
Paul tells the story of a guy who told him how to run his forums while his forum is a ghost town.
Paul admits that he is
coffee's bitch and gives his advice to youth. However, for those who are already dependant on coffee, he talks about how he went through many ways of brewing and came up with a very simple solution.
They move on to talk about PIPA/SOPA and piracy, food forest instead of orchard and how to convert an existing orchard. He talks about
LED lights, the new forums at Permies, the
Sepp event, the book promo and the Daily-ish email.
Paul and Adrien wrap up the podcast talking ways people can promote their sites for free, but that we are looking for sponsors for money, banner swaps, link-for-link, and banner sales.
