Hi all.

First all here the best wishes for 2024.

I am busy with a greenhouse, it is a bow version with special plastic.

Because a judge has ordered me to remove a (quite clean) woodstove I need to do it different, a rocket mass heater
in a greenhouse who warming also water what I pump into the home itselfs, I plan to use a car like system where there
is a room for savety.

I do now that a steam explosion is not what I want so I need to put the heat exchanger away from hot points in the stove,
down the barrel it is much cooler, or even the outlet where I set a insolated box where the exchanger takes heat, there
the temperature is max 150 degree or so. it go through pipes to the living room, through the wall, there I use old heavy
radiators, not convectors from the past, these are cast iron, keeping heat a long time.

Now nobody can forbid me anymore to use wood, special in this bad times I need a backup, also because I have atrosis
radiation heat is what I want.

Can somebody tell me of there are things done?

Thanks.

regards

I can't answer your question though I thought I would bump your topic by suggesting that some folks might find these threads interesting:

I hope someone will step up to answer your question.

This video just came out about an improvement made to the small Minnie Mouse Rocket Mass Heater in the Love Shack at Wheaton Labs.  They added a cob hat to the top of the barrel (with space to cook a pizza!) to keep the heat lower and allow the heat to linger longer.  I'm thinking about it for my garage.  It might work in a greenhouse, too.

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, it's a tiny ad:
A rocket mass heater is the most sustainable way to heat a conventional home
